Q What is the Mediterranean Yacht Show?

The Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) is an annual yacht charter show dedicated to exhibiting the finest licensed and legally operating crewed yachts in the region. It serves as a targeted B2B yacht charter show in the yachting industry, providing a platform for professionals to connect, inspect the impressive collection of luxurious yachts available for charter in the Eastern Mediterranean, engage with their crews, and promote their businesses.

Q When and where will the next MEDYS take place?

The 9th edition of the MEDYS will take place from April 27th to May 1st, 2024, in the enchanting coastal town of Nafplion. Steeped in rich history and exuding a captivating ambiance, Nafplion provides the perfect backdrop for this esteemed yachting gathering.

Q What types of yachts will be on display?

MEDYS will showcase an exquisite collection of crewed yachts, encompassing a diverse spectrum of styles and sizes. From sleek motor yachts to graceful sailing yachts and motor sailers, the show will unveil the crème de la crème of the GYA charter fleet.

Q Will there be a dock plan?

A detailed dock plan outlining the positioning of all participating yachts will be available on Saturday, April 27th, to help attendees locate specific yachts of interest. This plan can be acquired at the GYA secretariat desk, usually situated near the entrance of the exhibition area.

Q Who should attend?

MEDYS is an essential event for a diverse group of representatives from all sectors within the yachting industry. Yacht brokers, yacht agents, yacht management companies, providers of luxury lifestyle products and services, technology systems/services, and other key figures in the industry will find invaluable opportunities to connect, broaden their networks, enhance brand awareness, and explore the most recent and exquisite additions of yachts for charter and associated services.

Q How can I register to attend?

Online registration is available exclusively to yacht charter brokers, accessible through the official MEDYS website. We highly recommend early registration, which ensures inclusion on the attending brokers list for heightened visibility. On-site late registration at Nafplion is available exclusively for charter brokers and yacht agents. All other industry professionals are welcome to take advantage of our marketing opportunities and can register by contacting us at info@gya.gr. It's important to note that we do not sell tickets or register visitors.

Q What are the registration fees?

The registration fees vary according to the registration deadline:

  • Early Bird Registration (until March 31, 2024): €180 including VAT 24%, including listing on the website.
  • Late Registration (after March 31, 2024): €260 including VAT 24%
Q What does my registration include?

Your registration includes:

  • Access to all exhibition areas and yacht displays.
  • Participation in all official networking events and receptions.
  • Listing in the official show website.
Q Are there any cancellation policies?

Registrations that are accepted are non-refundable. In the event that your registration is not accepted, a full refund of your registration fee will be issued.

Nafplion provides a varied selection of accommodation options catering to every preference and budget. From luxurious five-star hotels to delightful boutique establishments and cozy traditional guesthouses, there's a choice for everyone. Q What transportation options are available to get to the Show?

There are regular public bus connections between Athens and Nafplion, and private transfers can be arranged as well. Shuttle services at Athens International Airport will be exclusively available for foreign-registered yacht brokers arriving from abroad.

Q Is there a service available for transportation within the exhibition area?

Registered attendees will have access to golf carts for navigating the exhibition area. It is essential that all participants adhere to the event guidelines and utilize the golf carts only if they are registered for the event.

Q Is parking available on-site?

There is a public parking lot available on-site, for attendees to use.

Q Is photography and filming allowed?

Photography and filming for personal use are permitted; however, any commercial photoshoots or filming by external crews are strictly prohibited at the show unless they are approved media, partners of GYA members, sponsors, or exhibitors. Individuals seeking to use show material for commercial purposes should contact the organizers to inquire about licensing and usage agreements.

Q Can I bring a drone to film and capture aerial footage of the boats on display?

Drone usage is prohibited by the event organizers to safeguard the intellectual property and privacy of yacht owners and attendees. Authorized media partners are required to check and adhere to any guidelines established by local authorities to ensure compliance and safety, and they must obtain any necessary permits.

Q Can I livestream from the Show?

Live-streaming from the show is permitted for personal use only. Live-streaming for commercial reasons is strictly prohibited at the show unless they are approved media, partners of GYA members, sponsors, or exhibitors. Individuals seeking to use show material for commercial purposes should contact the organizers to inquire about licensing and usage agreements.
